How to Use TIKITAKA FTG Leverless on PS5, PS4 & Switch

"I want to buy a TIKITAKA FTG leverless controller, but will it actually work on my PS5 or Switch?"—this is the most common pre-purchase question we get. This page lets you check, in one place, which version to choose and what to set after connecting, for PC, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch/Switch2. Detailed steps for each platform are linked to the dedicated guides at the end.

Platform × Version & Key Points: Quick Reference

Just look at the row for the platform you plan to use to see the purchase notes and post-connection settings.

Platform Version to choose Settings after connecting Notes
PC Works with any version Set Current Input Mode to "Xinput" Configure via the Web Configurator (192.168.7.1)
PS4 Works with the PS5 version Set Input Mode Setting and Peripheral Mapping to match the images in the PS guide Works with the same settings as PS5
PS5 PS5 version, or connect a PS5 authentication device to the EX port Set Input Mode to PS5 (the PS5 version is preset at the factory—no change needed) The PC version cannot be used on PS5
Nintendo Switch Works with any version Set Input Setting to "Nintendo Switch" All models work with just this setting
Nintendo Switch 2 Works with any version Set Input Setting to "Nintendo Switch" Switch2 also operates in Nintendo Switch mode

Using It on PS5 (the most important part)

To use it on PS5, you need to meet one of these two conditions: use the PS5 version, or connect a PS5 authentication device to the EX port. Once that condition is met, set Input Mode to PS5 and you can use it. The PS5 version is already set to PS5 at the factory, so no setting change is needed. If you have initialized it or changed the settings, set "Input Mode Setting" and "Peripheral Mapping" to match the images in the PS setup guide. PS4 also works with these settings.

The easiest mistake to make is choosing the wrong version. The PC version cannot be used on PS5. If you plan to play on PS5, be sure to choose the PS5 version.

Using It on Nintendo Switch / Switch2

The Switch side is simple. When using it on Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch2, set "Input Setting" to "Nintendo Switch". All TIKITAKA products work with just this setting. Switch2 also operates in Nintendo Switch mode, so no special version or operation is required.

What Is the Settings Screen "192.168.7.1 (Web Configurator)"?

All the settings mentioned above are done in the "Web Configurator" settings screen, opened from your PC's browser. 192.168.7.1 is a local settings screen that can only be opened from a browser while the target product is connected to a PC via USB in configuration mode—it is not a normal website or router admin screen. We recommend the Chrome browser.

To open it, first connect it to your PC while holding the button assigned to START, then, after connecting, type "192.168.7.1" into your browser's address bar. The items you'll use most in the settings screen are as follows.

  • Current Input Mode: Switches which platform the device operates as. When using it on a PC, select "Xinput".
  • D-pad Mode: Be sure to set this to "D-pad". The trouble where only the movement keys don't work is caused by this setting being something other than "D-pad".
  • SOCD Cleaning Mode: Sets the input for simultaneous left/right and up/down presses. In Street Fighter 6, "Neutral" is the default, and using anything other than "Neutral" is prohibited in tournaments. Set it according to the rules of the game you play.
  • Button assignment: Click "GPIO PIN Viewer", then press the button you want to change; the PIN number will appear, so edit that number.

After changing settings, don't forget to press "Save" at the end. If you don't press it, the changes won't take effect.
